BelAZ plans to open service center in India in February

MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company, plans to open its maintenance center in India in February 2016, BelTA learnt from spokesman for the Industry Ministry Sergei Shalai.

“OAO BelAZ signed a trilateral agreement with the companies Belaz Enrika Mining Equipment and Services Private Limited and Voltas Ltd. (India) on long-term maintenance of BelAZ vehicles and guarantees on supplies of the Belarusian mining equipment. Apart from that, BelAZ is completing the construction of its service center in Nagpur, India. Its official opening is scheduled for February,” he said.

Sergei Shalai stressed that in 2016 the companies of the Industry Ministry will continue developing cooperation with their distant key partners (Brazil, Venezuela, Vietnam, Egypt, India, China, Cuba, Mongolia, Nigeria, Pakistan, the South African Republic) as well as paving the way for entering new promising markets of Africa, America, Asia and Middle East.

The Zhodino-based Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) was founded in September 1948. In 2010 BelAZ was reincorporated into a public joint stock company (OAO). In September 2012 BelAZ became the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company. BelAZ is the world's top manufacturer of mine dump trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used by the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
