MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) - The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ increased its production output almost two times in January 2018 as against the same period a year ago, BelTA learned from the company.
“In 2018, BelAZ has continued its steady tendency in the growth of its key industrial, social and economic indicators. According to operational data, in January 2018 the growth rate of industrial output made up 97% in actual prices, and 98.2% in comparable prices as against the similar period in 2017,” the company said. The growth rate of exports was at 89% in January. The foreign trade surplus stood at Br43.5 million.
BelAZ stressed that the enterprise updates and improves its products on a constant basis. The company uses new high-tech equipment, applies new production methods, improves the operational characteristics of machinery and design performance. In January 2018, the share of innovative products in the total shipments exceeded 60%.
The company mainly sold its products to Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.
