Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange to develop cooperation with Lipetsk Oblast

MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) will develop cooperation with Lipetsk Oblast, spokesman for BUCE Roman Yaniv told BelTA after the meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Russia's Lipetsk Oblast.

Attending the event was head of the BUCE Office in Russia Vitaly Kolos. The parties discussed prospects for increasing mutual trade between Belarus and Lipetsk Oblast, including with the help of BUCE's online sales platforms.

According to Vitaly Kolos, ferrous metals and their products enjoy a stable demand on the Belarusian stock commodity market. Russia mainly buys Belarusian farm machinery, household appliances and dairy products. The current activity of the BUCE includes efforts to increase the volume and number of transactions with the abovementioned commodity groups and expand the list of commodity descriptions. The main focus will be placed in the export of Belarusian goods to Lipetsk Oblast as today's imports from Russia exceed exports from Belarus more than two times. Among the promising commodities are sawn goods, motor transport, building materials, food products.

The two-day visit of the Belarusian delegation to Lipetsk Oblast included meetings with the administration of Lipetsk Oblast and the cities of Lipetsk and Yelets and B2B talks with the region's businessmen.
