MOGILEV, 2 September (BelTA) – The first few tractors manufactured by the Belarusian company OAO Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units and assembled in Georgia are showcased during the national expo of Belarus in Georgia that opened in Tbilisi on 1 September, the company's Marketing Department told BelTA.
Local consumers are invited to get themselves familiar with three tractor models and a utility vehicle fit for a municipal enterprise. Two of the tractor models were assembled by the joint venture set up by the Georgian company World Technic and OAO Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) in line with the memorandum signed in 2015.
The tractors of Bobruisk origin have been put on display of the collective stand representing enterprises of MTZ Holding Company near the entrance of the central pavilion of the Expo Georgia complex. Apart from the vehicles made by the Belarusian-Georgian joint venture visitors can also see vehicles made by OAO MTZ and OAO Smorgon Aggregate Factory.
The national expo of Belarus in Georgia is the largest event of the kind in 2016. Over 140 enterprises and organizations from various spheres of economy are represented during the expo. By taking part in such a large-scale event OAO Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units will be able to strengthen its stance on the Georgian market, find new ways to expand cooperation, find new consumers and partners.
Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units was established in 1945. It is now part of the industrial group MTZ Holding Company. The factory specializes in making components for Belarus tractors, disc plate wheels for tractors and agricultural machines, and compact tractors with 25-62hp engines. At present the company employs about 3,000 people.
