Belarusian Railways transit potential to be showcased in China

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) - Belintertrans-Transport and Logistics Center of the Belarusian Railways and Belintertrans-Germany will be taking part in the 17th China International Transportation and Logistics Expo CITLE on 28-30 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Railways.

The exhibition will be held as part of the China International Logistics Week in Chengdu.

“The major purpose of participating in the exhibition for Belintertrans-Transport and Logistics Center and Belintertrans-Germany is to showcase their services with a view to attracting additional cargoes. Using the exhibition venue, the company's specialists plan to discuss cargo traffic development with Chinese partners. The focus will be on advertising container shipping," the Belarusian Railways explained.

Information and advertising materials on the services of the Belarusian Railways, as well as technical and technological potential of the shipping capacities will also be presented at the expo.

The Belintertrans-Transport and Logistics Center provides a full range of freight forwarding services. A representative office of Belintertrans-Germany was opened in Beijing to secure direct presence on the Chinese transport services market. The main activity of the company is to expand cooperation with cargo owners, provide a full range of services from the development of transport and logistics solutions to transportation accompanying.

As part of the Silk Road Economic Belt project, the company is busy developing the cargo transportation by container trains on the China-Europe-China route. In January-May 2017 the Belintertrans-Transport and Logistics Center transported about 27,000 thousand TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit), which is 180.3% to 2016.

The Belarusian Railways expands the possibilities of providing integrated services to the organizations of Belarus in exporting their products to China. In May 2017 temporary rules of attaching cars with Belarusian export goods to the containers making their way back to China.
