Belarusian Finance Ministry redeems eurobonds issued in 2011

MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian Finance Ministry has redeemed the eurobonds, which were issued in 2011, the ministry's representatives told BelTA.

After making the final coupon yield payment of $35.8 million on 22 January the Belarusian Finance Ministry sent money to its agent — Deutsche Bank AG in London — to redeem the government bonds issued on the international finance market on 26 January 2011 to the tune of $800 million.

With that package of eurobonds redeemed, Belarus will stay on the eurobond market since two packages of eurobonds are still in circulation. An $800 million package was issued in 2017 to be redeemed in 2023. Another one was issued in 2017 to earn $600 million and to be redeemed in 2027.
