MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – Belarusian industrial enterprises can carry on with their technological upgrade plans with the help of foreign investments, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he visited Masherov Minsk Plant of Automated Lines, BelTA has learned.
“Capital expenditures, investments are needed to manufacture competitive products. Today enterprises lack own investments as they generate almost no profits. The budget has no money for these purposes as well. Loans of Belarusian banks are expensive and they are not enough. So the way out is foreign direct investment, which can certainly help enterprises carry on with their modernization plans,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted.
The Chairman of the Council of the Republic noted that the Belarusian side must offer the options that would be advantageous for foreign investors as well.
