Belarusian dairy industry products on display in Dubai

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – A collective booth of Belarusian dairy industry enterprises has been represented for the first time ever during the food expo Gulfood in Dubai. The expo is scheduled to take place on 21-25 February, BelTA learned from representatives of the enterprise BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the expo Belarus will be represented by the companies Savushkin Product and Molochny Mir as well as the tinned dairy products factories from Lida and Glubokoye. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates Roman Golovchenko, a delegation of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry led by Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo, and Latvian Agriculture Minister Janis Duklavs have visited the collective booth.

The high quality of Belarusian dairy products is known in many countries across the globe. It is confirmed by the strong interest in Belarusian products among multiple visitors of the industry expo. The collective booth offers samples of cheese, yogurt, quark cheese, condensed milk, and other dairy products.

The Gulfood expo is one of the world's top three food expos. The expo features all kinds of food, beverages, cooking tools and refrigerating equipment, services and products in the sphere of restaurant and hospital business.

In 2016 Gulfood gathered over 5,000 exhibitors from 120 countries. The expo features national booths of Australia, Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Czechia, and Japan.

BelInterExpo representatives said that year after year Gulfood attracts record-breaking numbers of visitors. In 2016 the expo is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors in the five days the expo will stay open. According to preliminary information, the expo attracted over 30,000 visitors on the opening day.

A large collective booth of Belarusian companies is supposed to be organized during the Gulfood expo in 2017.
