MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Cement Company and Eurocement Group have signed a contract that will regulate cooperation of the two companies in 2017, BelTA learned from Press Secretary of the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry Yevgeniya Filimonova.
The document was signed by Eurocement Group President Mikhail Skorokhod, Director General of OAO Belarusian Cement Plant Igor Lozhechnikov, and Director General of OAO Krichevcementnoshifer Vladimir Korchevsky. In line with the agreement the deliveries will satisfy the demand for Belarusian cement on the Russian market. The deliveries in 2017 will be at least as large as this year's.
According to the source, Belarusian and Russian cement manufacturers have been working together for years. “We've maintained active and fruitful cooperation with Eurocement Group for the last few years. We are happy to continue tight cooperation. I believe that our work in 2016 can be described as successful. Naturally, various situations happened, however, we always found compromises. I am convinced that the year 2017 will be as successful,” said Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister Anatoly Cherny.
In his words, the Russian market is the key target market for Belarusian cement manufacturers at present. Belarus is the leading supplier of cement on the Russian market. Belarusian cement deliveries to the Russian market in 2016 had been agreed with Eurocement Group, too. “I can boldly state that the agreement has been honored. In 2017 despite the falling demand the share of Belarusian cement on Russian Federation markets will grow larger,” stressed the Architecture and Construction Minister.
In turn, Eurocement Group President Mikhail Skorokhod stated that deliveries of Belarusian cement in 2016, their volume and plans confirm the strategic level of relations between cement manufacturers as well as between Belarus and Russia. “We are thankful for the high trust of Belarusian partners in us and are happy to continue working together for the fourth year in a row,” he said.
