MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – A number of Belarusian agricultural machines have been put on display as part of the 31st international agricultural expo Sahara 2018, which is taking place in Cairo, Egypt on 16-19 September, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Egypt told BelTA.
Representatives of the Belarusian embassy attended the Sahara Expo 2018 opening ceremony. The expo is one of the largest international expos to display agricultural equipment and technologies in Africa and the Middle East. The Belarusian exposition featuring multiple products made by various Belarusian companies has been organized with assistance of Egyptian Company for Agricultural and Rural Development and Belmachinery for International Trade.
In particular, the Belarusian products on display include various MTZ tractors, balers and other kinds of trailed equipment made by Bobruiskagromash. A grain harvester made by Gomselmash, Amkodor loaders, and compact tractors made by OAO BZTDiA are represented for the first time. Belarusian hydraulic products made by OOO Saleo are showcased using a dedicated stand.
As part of the expo representatives of several Belarusian companies visited Egypt. Those are Amkodor, BZTDiA, Gomselmash, the engine manufacturer MMZ, and the bicycle and motorbike manufacturer Motovelo. With assistance of the embassy representatives of the Belarusian companies are expected to meet with representatives of interested Egyptian companies for the sake of discussing trade and the joint production of machines, vehicles, and equipment in Egypt.
