MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Global Finance, an English-language international financial magazine, has named ASB Belarusbank the best bank on the Belarusian market for the fifth time. The information is posted on the website of the magazine, BelTA has learned.
Global Finance magazine announced its annual awards for the World's Best Banks last week. Among the honorees for Central and Eastern Europe, it mentioned Belarusbank, the largest bank in Belarus, and named it the country's best bank.
The winners were decided by the editors of Global Finance after extensive consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers and banking consultants, and analysts throughout the world. In selecting these top banks, Global Finance considered such factors as the growth in assets, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development and innovation in products.
Global Finance has over 50,000 subscribers in 163 countries. It compiles rankings in a number of branches of the economy, including the banking sector. “The Global Finance award is a recognized and reliable proof of excellence. It is a great honor for the bank to get such an award that attests to its leading position in the financial market of Belarus,” Belarusbank representatives noted.
