Belarus, World Bank discuss utilities sector

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – The performance of the utilities sector was discussed by Chairman of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov and World Bank Country Manager for Belarus Young Chul Kim, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Control Committee.

The working meeting took place in Belarus' State Control Committee. The parties discussed the ways to discuss cooperation in various areas, including the introduction of the integrated risk assessment audit. Apart from that, the parties shared opinions on economic reforms in the country and possible ways to strengthen the economic potential of the state-run enterprises.

The meeting also focused on the implementation of a number of projects (in particular, highway construction) financed by the World Bank.

Leonid Anfimov and Young Chul Kim agreed on the need for further cooperation between the State Control Committee and the World Bank Representation in Belarus.

Partaking in the event were heads of the structural subdivisions of the State Control Committee and representatives of the World Bank Representation in Belarus.
