Belarus, Venezuela discuss ways to develop joint assembly plants

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk and Belarusian Ambassador to Venezuela Oleg Paferov met with Venezuelan Minister for Basic, Strategic and Socialist Industries Juan Arias in Barinas State on 20 April. The parties discussed ways to develop the joint assembly plants, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Venezuela.

“The parties considered mechanisms to develop joint assembly plants, reach their design capacity, and increase the localization of production in Venezuela. They also discussed the possibility of launching supplies of Venezuelan products to Belarus,” the embassy said.

Besides, Vitaly Vovk, Oleg Paferov and Juan Arias talked about new promising areas of industrial cooperation and confirmed their interest in strengthening the bilateral relations. During the visit to Barinas State, the Belarusian delegation paid visits to the joint ventures assembling MAZ VEN trucks, Veneminsk Tractores tractors, and Maquinarias Barinas road construction equipment.
