MOSCOW, 21 February (BelTA) – Belarus will take part in the projects to build social objects in Pskov Oblast of Russia, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA following the meeting between Belarus' Architecture and Construction Minister Anatoly Cherny and acting Governor of Pskov Oblast Mikhail Vedernikov.
“The parties considered the main issues of cooperation between Belarus and Pskov Oblast, including the participation of Belarusian construction companies in the projects to build social facilities in Pskov Oblast and the increase in the mutual supply of products,” the press service noted.
The acting governor expressed his support for all the ideas and projects aimed at bolstering trade and economic ties and increasing the trade between Belarus and Pskov Oblast. “The parties noted the high level of interaction between economic entities of Belarus and Pskov Oblast, a mutual desire to develop mutually beneficial economic ties,” the diplomatic mission informed.
The fifth meeting of the working group on cooperation of Belarus and Pskov Oblast was held in Pskov on 21 February. On behalf of Belarus it was attended by representatives of the government agencies, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and major industrial enterprises.
The meeting took stock of the progress achieved in cooperation between Belarus and Pskov Oblast. The participants discussed further cooperation in construction, the delivery of building materials, passenger and road machinery, and also inter-municipal cooperation. The parties signed a roadmap on trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation between Belarus and Pskov Oblast for 2018-2020, and also an agreement on cooperation between MAZ, the managing company of the holding company BelavtoMAZ, and Pskovpassagiravtotrans.More about Economy
