MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) – Belarus will inform Russia about the measures taken to improve the control over the quality of agricultural raw materials by the end of the week, Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Control Alexander Subbotin told reporters on 26 May, BelTA has learned.

“According to the agreements reached on Monday, we are preparing documents on the measures to strengthen the control over raw materials and a progress report to develop the information system of electronic veterinary certification,” Alexander Subbotin said.

“This information will be sent to our Russian colleagues today or tomorrow. We will be expecting their response within two or three days,” he said. Alexander Subbotin added that the Russian side promised to consider lifting the import ban against enterprises after analyzing this information. “If this does not happen, we will request a new ministerial meeting,” he said.
