Belarus to hold bilateral talks with WTO member states in Geneva

MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – Belarus is expected to hold bilateral talks with more than 10 member states of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Yevdochenko will take part in the talks on Belarus' WTO entry on 23-26 January. Apart from that, the Belarusian delegation is set to hold bilateral meetings with more than 10 WTO member states.

The working group on Belarus' accession to the WTO will hold its 8th official meeting as part of the talks. Attending the meeting will be representatives of 46 WTO member states. “The WTO member states and the Belarusian delegation will consider the country's foreign trade and coordinate the plan of further action,” the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Belarusian delegation will comprise representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Economy Ministry, Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, Finance Ministry, Agriculture and Food Ministry, Healthcare Ministry, Justice Ministry, State Committee for Standardization, State Customs Committee, National Center of Intellectual Property, and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
