Belarus to get more Russian oil starting April

MOSCOW, 13 April (BelTA) – The volume of Russian oil Belarus gets will start getting raised in April. The information was released by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko after a package of Belarusian-Russian documents on cooperation in oil and natural gas affairs was signed in Moscow on 13 April, BelTA has learned.

In line with the signed documents Belarus will get a total of 24 million tonnes of oil per year. Vladimir Semashko specified that these are long-term arrangements that will last through 2024.

Russian Vice Premier Arkady Dvorkovich underscored that Russian oil companies have the technological and manufacturing capacity to deliver more oil to Belarus. Oil will be delivered in full, he assured.

Arkady Dvorkovich went on saying that in line with the documents that had been signed Belarus will keep 18 million tonnes out of 24 million tonnes for processing. The rest can be used for export operations.
