Belarus suggests projects for Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park

MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – Belarus has suggested to China a number of projects in machine building, chemistry, pharmaceutics, electronics, and communication that can be jointly implemented at the Great Stone Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Economy Ministry after the roundtable that discussed the Belarus-China investment cooperation.

Partaking in the roundtable were Belarusian and Chinese officials and businessmen. The Belarusian participants held a presentation of the Great Stone Industrial Park and reported on the status of implementation of this project. They also offered to the Chinese side a number of joint projects in machine building, chemistry, pharmaceutics, electronics, and communication. Partaking in the roundtable were over 100 representatives of Chinese companies and government agencies.

The ministry also said that Belarusian Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky met with the delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen on 30 January. The sides talked over the issues of the bilateral investment cooperation and about the prospects of the development and promotion of the Great Stone Industrial Park and attraction of national and foreign investors to it.

The participants of the meeting also exchanged opinions about the initiatives and projects that will be elaborated during the preparations for the visit of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Minsk in May 2015.

Deputy Head of Belarus' Presidential Administration Nikolai Snopkov will also meet with Chinese Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen on 30 January. They will co-chair the third session of the working group on the Great Stone Industrial Park.
