Belarus, Sudan to step up cooperation

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Sudan intend to step up cooperation, BelTA learned from representatives of the Belarusian Energy Ministry after a Belarusian delegation led by Energy Minister Vladimir Potupchik visited Sudan.

While in Sudan members of the Belarusian delegation held a number of meetings and negotiation sessions. The sides exchanged opinions about a large number of matters on the bilateral agenda. The current state, development prospects, and possible ways of invigorating Belarus-Sudan cooperation in power engineering, production sector, agriculture, education, healthcare, and other spheres of mutual interest were discussed.

The participation of Belarusian organizations in power engineering projects in Sudan was discussed. The sides also looked at possible reciprocal proposals of the Sudanese side. A plan of further action was sketched out.
