Belarus, Slovenia sign memorandum of economic cooperation on third markets

MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) – The intergovernmental memorandum of understanding between Belarus and Slovenia on economic cooperation on the markets of third countries has been signed during the visit of Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko to Slovenia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Oleg Kravchenko met with co-chair of the Slovenian part of the Belarus-Slovenia intergovernmental commission Alenka Suhadolnik. The parties discussed trade, economic and investment cooperation, including interaction in the implementation of the agreements made during the visit of the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs to Slovenia in July 2017. The parties also talked over the preparations for the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission. A memorandum of understanding between Belarus and Slovenia on economic cooperation on third markets was signed at the end of the meeting.

Oleg Kravchenko also met with Director General for Common Foreign and Security Policy, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Matej Marn to discuss Belarus' cooperation with the European Union, including the results of the recent Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels, and also the situation in the region.

While in Slovenia, the Belarusian diplomat also met with Director of the Department for Strategic Studies and Analyses at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Stanislav Rascan, CEO at the Center for European Perspective Gorazd Justinek, and Honorary Consul of Belarus to Slovenia, RICO Director Janez Skrabec. The parties discussed the Belarusian-Slovenian cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, humanitarian and other spheres of mutual interest.
