Belarus, Serbia actively develop all-round cooperation

BELGRADE, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Serbia actively develop all-round cooperation, Serbian Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic said during the tenth session of the Belarusian-Serbian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Belgrade on 19 April, BelTA has learned.

The Serbian minister commended the level of Belarus-Serbia economic cooperation. According to him, friendly ties between the two countries hold great promise. Goran Knezevic highlighted that the countries need to increase trade, implement joint long-term projects and set up new ones. He also pointed to the contribution of the Belarusian and Serbian chambers of commerce and industry to the promotion of bilateral cooperation.

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia Marko Cadez commended the results of the ninth session of the business council for cooperation between the Belarusian and Serbian chambers of commerce and industry. According to Marko Cadez, the agreements reached during the session aim to enlarge the number of joint projects.

Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich noted that during the session of the business council and a business matchmaking event the sides agreed on new contracts to promote Belarusian export to Serbia.

For his part, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Serbia Vladimir Chushev said that the Belarus-Serbia cooperation has gained a new momentum in recent years thanks to interregional and inter-city ties.
