Belarus, Russia's Tula Oblast agree to support SMEs

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia's Tula Oblast have signed a protocol of the meeting of the joint working group on cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellegprom Concern.

The document was signed as part of the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Mogilev on 12 October. The document was inked by Chairman of Bellegprom Concern Nikolai Yefimchik and Governor of Tula Oblast Aleksei Dyumin.

The meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between Belarus and Tula Oblast was held in Minsk ahead of the forum. The parties decided on further increase of trade and strengthening of production and cooperation ties, including in the implementation of joint sci-tech projects.

“One of the priority areas of cooperation is to support small and medium-sized business. This pertains to assistance in supplies and the sale of consumer goods, including through fairs. There are plans to strengthen ties between the chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Tula Oblast,” the company said.

Baranovichi Cotton Production Association signed a cooperation agreement with a Belgorod-based company to supply $1 million worth of goods to Russia during the Business Cooperation Council session held as part of the 5th Forum of Regions, Bellegprom's press service informed.
