Belarus, Russia's Novosibirsk to expand cooperation in science, technology

MOSCOW, 26 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Novosibirsk Mayor Anatoly Lokot agreed to strengthen cooperation in science and technology as they met on 26 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.

“The sides agreed to expand cooperation in manufacturing, science, and technology in order to make joint innovative competitive products,” the press service noted.

Igor Petrishenko and Anatoly Lokot discussed economic cooperation and the expansion of Belarus' participation in projects in the fields of infrastructure, road construction and utilities in Novosibirsk.

They emphasized the need to expand the use of mutually acceptable financial instruments in trade and economic relations, including concessional loans, leasing, and state subsidies.

“The sides reaffirmed their commitment to joint effort aimed at outlining new avenues of cooperation and defining specific projects and programs of scientific cooperation,” the press service added.
