Belarus, Russia narrow differences in gas talks

MOSCOW, 29 November (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia have found some common ground in the gas talks, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko told the media on the sidelines of the 14th international conference on the Eurasian economic integration in Moscow on 29 November, BelTA has learned.

This week, Vladimir Semashko held talks with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller. “We have narrowed the differences on some issues but still have disagreements on others. I cannot say more for the time being," the ambassador said.

"We will reconcile our differences but not today," he added.

When asked about the gas contract for 2020, Ambassador Vladimir Semashko said that he would not want to anticipate some events but the document, he believes, can be signed earlier than 31 December.
