Belarus-Russia cooperation in agriculture, engineering to top agenda of Union State summit in Minsk

MOSCOW, 13 June (BelTA) - Interaction of Belarus and Russia in agriculture and engineering will be discussed at the session of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Minsk on 19 June, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told the media after the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Moscow on 13 June, BelTA has learned.

“The interaction in agriculture and engineering is always in the spotlight of meetings of the high-level group, the Council of Ministers and the Supreme State Council. Some issues have been settled. Some are still outstanding,” Grigory Rapota noted.

According to him, the Union State Council of Ministers urged the agriculture ministries to work more closely on product traceability, aligning the information systems. This theme is always at the forefront of debates. “In general, some progress has been made, although it is not as fast as we would like it to be. But nevertheless, the progress is there,” Grigory Rapota noted.

Today the Council of Ministers took decisions on the budget of the Union State, on the new order of elaboration and approval of the Union State programs and approved the draft resolution of the Supreme State Council on the Union State science and technology awards, and other documents., Grigory Rapota said.
