Belarus ready for more active work on joint projects with Ecuador

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarus is ready for more active work on joint projects with Ecuador. The relevant statement was made during the meeting involving Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila, the press service of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament told BelTA.

The sides discussed Belarus-Ecuador cooperation. “I am glad that our agreements are being actively developed and cooperation has produced results,” noted Mikhail Myasnikovich. In particular, he mentioned prospects of bilateral cooperation in the production sector and civil engineering. He drew attention to the experience of restoring quake-hit infrastructure that Belzarubezhstroy and other Belarusian companies have. The Chairman of the Council of the Republic underlined that the Belarusian side was ready for more active work on joint projects, including within the framework of national programs of the Ecuadorian government.

In turn, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support Belarus provides to Ecuador, including the humanitarian aid sent to the affected areas.

The negotiations also touched upon topical aspects of cooperation in agriculture, manufacturing cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
