Belarus, Poland to discuss trade, investment cooperation in Minsk

MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – The 5th meeting of the Belarusian-Polish working group on trade and investment will take place in Minsk on 25 October. The bilateral working group is part of the joint commission on economic cooperation, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 19 October, BelTA has learned.

“The parties are expected to discuss the bilateral trade and investment cooperation, prospects for implementing the current and new joint projects, cooperation in the banking sector, certification and standardization,” said Dmitry Mironchik.

In January-August 2017 the trade between the two countries exceeded $1.5 billion, up 15%. According to the ministry, the Belarusian exports and Polish investments in the Belarusian economy are on the rise.
