MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – Belarus expects to resolve disagreements with Russia in the oil industry, Belarus' First Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Matyushevsky told reporters at the conference “Eurasian Economic Union: Development Strategy” on 15 August, BelTA has learned.
“Talks are underway at the level of the vice-premiers [Belarus' Vice Premier Vladimir Semashko and Russia's Vice Premier Dmitry Kozak] who are responsible for this matter. I think the results of our talks with Russia will be made public soon,” Vasily Matyushevsky said.
“There is no threat. There is an agreement that is honored by the parties. As for some disagreements, the respective vice-premiers will come to grips with all of them,” he said.
Vasily Matyushevsky did not specify the date of the next meeting at the level of the vice-premiers. In his words, this question should be addressed to the Russian side; Belarus' representatives are ready for the meeting.
Earlier, Reuters reported about Russia's plans to limit duty-free supplies of oil products.
