Belarus' National Cadastral Agency attending World Bank conference in Washington

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – The National Cadastral Agency of the State Property Committee of Belarus is taking part in the premier global forum on land governance, the 18th Annual World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty in Washington DC, the United States, BelTA learned from the website of the State Property Committee.

The conference is held in the World Bank headquarters on 20-24 March. The theme of this year's event is Responsible Land Governance—Towards an Evidence-Based Approach. The conference has attracted more than 1,700 participants.

The Land and Poverty conference will present the latest research and practice on the diversity of reforms, interventions, and innovations in the land sector around the world. The focus is on the role of data and evidence for realizing land policy reform, identifying strategies for working at scales and monitoring achievements.

Deputy Director General of the National Cadastral Agency of Belarus Dmitry Ritvinsky will present a report on geoinformation systems and technologies in mass (cadastral) assessment. The second report on improving Belarus' Doing Business rankings in Registering Property will be presented by Ales Khodasevich, leading legal counsel at the department of legal support to registration activities.
