Belarus’ manufacturers visit Serbia



MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) - A Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky visited Serbia on 1-5 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The delegation included representatives of OAO BelAZ, OAO Gomselmash, OAO MAZ, OAO Mogilevliftmash, OAO Gomel Radio Plant, and OAO Rechitsaagroservis.

The Belarusian delegation met with members of the Serbian government, and representatives of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, the cities of Kraljevo and Cacak, and the business community. The meetings were attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Serbia Alexander Sychev, Honorary Consuls of Belarus Zoran Vulovic (city of Kragujevac) and Dragoljub Svonja (city of Novi Sad).

The sides discussed the development of cooperation between Belarus and Serbia, especially in trade and economic areas, reviewed the preparations for the meetings of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation and the business council.

Belarus and Serbia agreed to arrange a visit of a Serbian business delegation led by the assistant to the President of Serbia for economic affairs to Belarus.
