Belarus looking into setting up ICC National Committee

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – Belarus is considering establishing a national committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), BelTA learned from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

BCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich discussed this initiative with Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce Peter Mihok. They also reviewed the prospects for BCCI-ICC cooperation.

Peter Mihok stressed the importance of the international roundtable discussion ATA Carnets and Cross-Border Cooperation to be hosted by the BCCI on 6 October. According to him, the ICC high-ranking officials are interested in visiting Belarus in the near future.

Established in 1919, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is an independent non-profit international organization. It aims at supporting business by promoting trade and investment and opening markets for goods, services, and the free movement of capital worldwide. The BCCI joined the ICC in 1998.
