Belarus, Lithuania central banks to intensify cooperation

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – The central banks of Belarus and Lithuania are going to intensify cooperation, BelTA learned from the information and pr office of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

“On 23-24 March, the Belarusian delegation led by Chairman of the NBRB Board Pavel Kallaur visited the Republic of Lithuania on the invitation of Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania Vitas Vasiliauskas. The parties discussed the current issues of the development of cooperation between the two central banks,” the source said.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the current situation and the prospects of development of the national economies, the monetary policy, the prospects of the financial sector development, and the medium-term strategic goals of the NBRB and the Bank of Lithuania. The parties also considered the avenues of cooperation between the central banks, including at the level of experts.
