Belarus' Industry Ministry ready to adjust products to meet Vietnamese standards

MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) — Belarus' Industry Ministry has expressed a willingness to adjust certain products to the requirements of the Vietnamese market, the press service of the ministry told BelTA when commenting on the meeting between Belarusian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Tuan Anh.

“Our countries have a great potential for cooperation. Enterprises of the Industry Ministry are willing to adjust their goods to the requirements of the Vietnamese market. We already have positive experience in this area,” Vitaly Vovk said.

In 2017 the Industry Ministry's major exports to Vietnam were goods made by MTZ, MAZ, BelAZ, Minsk Bearings Plant, Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, Minsk Motor Works and others.

The parties discussed the prospects of setting up joint plants to produce transport vehicles in Vietnam (cargo and passenger equipment) and also efforts to step up trade.
