Belarus' government, Russia's Vnesheconombank sign agreement on goods acquisition loans

MOSCOW, 2 June (BelTA) – Belarus' government has signed an agreement with the Russian state corporation Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) on the conditions of allocating loans to purchase Belarusian goods in Russia. The document was signed at the 21st St Petersburg International Economic Forum on 1 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.

The government of Belarus and the Russian state corporation Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) also concluded a memorandum of cooperation. An agreement on cooperation was also signed between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Roscongress Foundation.

During the forum head of the Belarusian delegation, First Vice Premier Vasily Matyushevsky and Belarus' Ambassador to Russia Igor Petrishenko held talks with State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota and Russian President's Aide Andrei Belousov.

Igor Petrishenko also met with the authorities of several Russian regions: Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, head of the Republic of Komi Sergei Gaplikov, acting head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov, Governor of Moscow Oblast Andrei Vorobyov, Governor of Orel Oblast Vadim Potomsky, Governor of Vladimir Oblast Svetlana Orlova, Governor of Ulyanovsk Oblast Sergei Morozov, Governor of Orenburg Oblast Yuri Berg, acting Governor of Novgorod Oblast Andrei Nikitin, Vice Governor of St Petersburg Sergei Movchan.

“The meetings with the authorities of the Russian regions discussed the ways of intensifying trade and economic relations, developing mutually beneficial cooperation in different areas. Igor Petrishenko has invited the representatives of the Russian regions to visit Belarus,” the press service noted.
