Belarus, Georgia to consider joint companies to process milk, meat

TBILISI, 22 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Georgia will discuss the establishment of joint ventures to process milk and meat, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats told the media on 22 March, BelTA has learned.

The relevant ministries are signing a document to step up cooperation in agribusiness. “This is about training specialists and closer cooperation in livestock breeding. We will exchange views on the establishment of joint companies to process milk and meat to market a wider range of our food products in Georgia. We have found our customer. The next step is to get into retail chains. We have a very good chance to do this because we see many business representatives at today's forum,” the minister remarked.

He also praised the dynamics of trade in foods with Georgia, in general.
