Belarus' exports of goods, services up 24.4% in January-April 2018

MINSK, 15 June (BelTA) – Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $13.1 billion in January-April 2018, up 24.4% versus the same period of 2017, BelTA learned from the latest statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $26 billion, up 24.1% from January-April 2017. Exports amounted to $13.1 billion (up 24.4%); imports grew by 23.7% to $12.8 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services reached $269.2 million.

Belarus' trade in goods surged by 24.6% to $21.8 billion. Exports of goods went up by 25.3% to $10.5 billion, with imports up 23.9% to $11.3 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $847.5 million. In January-April 2017 it was $781.6 million.

In January-April 2018 Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $4.2 billion (112.6% as against the same period of 2017). Exports of services stood at $2.7 billion (121.1%), with imports at $1.5 billion (122.3%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $1.1 billion, up by 19.5% over the same period a year prior.
