MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $36.435 billion in 2017, up 21.7% versus 2016, BelTA learned from the latest statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $72.807 billion, up 21.5% from 2016. Exports amounted to $36.435 billion (up 21.7%); imports grew by 21.2% to $36.372 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services reached $63.2 million.
Belarus' trade in goods surged by 23.6% to $60.227 billion. Exports of goods went up by 24% to $28.651 billion, with imports up 23.3% to $31.575 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $2.923 billion.
In 2017, Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $12.58 billion (112.1% as against 2016). Exports of services stood at $7.783 billion (113.9%), with imports at $4.796 billion (109.3%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $2.986 billion.
