Belarus' experience in implementation of competition policy presented in Hungary

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich visited Hungary on 15 and 16 May to attend a meeting of the heads of competition authorities organized by the OECD-GVH Regional Center for Competition in Budapest, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The primary objective of the center established in 2005 is to support the development of the competition promotion policy, the competition law, and the culture of competition in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

“Vladimir Koltovich presented to the participants our country's experience in the implementation of competition policy. He also spoke about the priorities of Belarus' current presidency of the Central European Initiative and about the events scheduled to be held in the CEI in 2017,” the press service said.

The Belarusian minister held bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum in Budapest. Agreements were reached on the organization of joint training events for specialists working in the field of competition and antimonopoly regulation.
