MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Belarus expects oil delivery from Russia to resume, BelTA learned from Igor Lyashenko, Chairman of the Belarusian petrochemical concern Belneftekhim.
According to the source, the Belarusian petrochemical concern Belneftekhim is in “standby mode” now.
The Belneftekhim head also stated that they are considering the possibility of buying not only oil from Russia taking into account the accomplished taxation adjustments in the Russian oil industry.
BelTA quoted Belneftekhim representatives earlier as saying that in Q3 2016 instead of the expected 6 million tonnes of Russian oil Belarusian oil refineries received only 3.5 million tonnes. Belneftekhim and the oil refineries took steps to ensure the balanced operation of the manufacturing facilities and continued making raw materials for the petrochemical industry as much as possible while observing quality standards. The efforts also kept Belarus' domestic market supplied with automobile fuel.
