Belarus, China to discuss loan for plant construction in Minsk District

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarus and China will hold talks on a draft agreement on a preferential buyer's loan for the construction of a plant to produce special-purpose machinery in Kolodishchi, Minsk District. The decision is laid down by the Council of Ministers' executive order No.348 of 12 May 2017. The document was published on the national legal internet portal on 17 May, BelTA has learned.

The Council of Ministers ruled to attract an 18-year $192,713.700 preferential buyer's loan from the Exim Bank of China for the implementation of the investment project “Construction of a plant to produce special-purpose machinery in Kolodishchi, Minsk District”.

The document approved the draft loan agreement between the Belarusian government and the Export-Import Bank of China on a preferential buyer's loan for the implementation of this investment project as a basis for holding the corresponding talks.

The Council of Ministers authorized the Finance Ministry to hold talks on the draft loan agreement. The Finance Ministry has the right to introduce minor amendments and (or) additions to the document, if necessary, and sign the loan contract and other documents necessary for its implementation, once the parties reach agreement.

The executive order takes effect on the day of its adoption.
