Andreichenko calls for pragmatic budget 2016

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – The budget law on 2016 should be very pragmatic, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at the opening of a regular parliamentary session on 2 October, BelTA has learned.

“MPs continue working closely with the government on the draft budget for 2016. Keeping the focus on social security and support for companies we need to turn our attention to the country's strategic areas. We need to develop a very pragmatic financial document based on the realistic assessment and forecasts,” said the Chairman of the House of Representatives.

Every budgetary ruble invested in the economy should pay back. “Gains and profitability should come to the fore in the issues of planning,” Vladimir Andreichenko is confident. In his words, indicative planning will help companies and regions to use their competitive edge more actively and realize their export potential. People's income and the quality of social services directly depend on it.

According to Vladimir Andreichenko, balanced economic development is the country's number one goal. “Adjustment to the complicated external environment requires new management decisions. It pertains, first of all, to the budget and tax policies, planning systems, business initiative development and public-private partnership,” he said.
