About 80 companies attend Belarus-Sudan Business Forum

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) - About 80 companies participated in the Belarus-Sudan Business Forum which took place in Khartoum (Sudan) on 23 January, BelTA learned from the unitary exhibition company Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

“Khartoum played host to the Belarus-Sudan Business Forum organized by the Federation of Businessmen and Employers of the Sudan together with the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Embassy of Belarus in Egypt. The forum was attended by representatives of 25 Belarusian enterprises, more than 50 representatives of the Sudanese business community,” Belinterexpo informed.

Government officials of Belarus and Sudan opened the Belarusian exposition at the International Fair of Khartoum running in Sudan from 22 to 29 January.

The Belarusian exposition features more than 20 companies that are showcasing machinery and equipment for agriculture, mining and construction, and also household appliances, foodstuffs. It is timed to the 4th meeting of the Belarusian-Sudanese intergovernmental commission.

All in all, the International Fair of Khartoum features more than 600 companies from 33 countries. Austria, Germany, Italy and other countries have their national pavilions there. It is expected that the number of visitors will exceed 150,000. This is the first time Belarus has deployed its exposition at the International Fair of Khartoum.
