Belarusian MPs busy planting trees as part of Forest Week 2018 campaign

Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Boleslav Pirshtuk and other MPs, employees of the secretariat of the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament — over 60 people in total — took part in the nationwide campaign.
Plans to plant over 18m trees in Belarus during Forest Week

It is the 11th Forest Week on record. The Forestry Ministry has prepared over 1,300 sites in anticipation of the awareness-raising campaign. There are plans to plant over 18 million trees, said the official. The new forests to be planted during the event will occupy over 3,700ha.

Over 10 new museums in Grodno Oblast in Year of Native Land

These will be truly interesting museums both for the locals and tourists. For instance, a museum of wood will be set up in Grodno. It will be located in an ancient building of the former forestry administration in downtown Grodno, Vladimir Kravtsov said.
