This festival is one of the most popular in Belarus both in the number of participants and the number of guests. Bearing in mind the visa-free travel opportunity, we expect large numbers of tourists in Grodno this year, Vasily Chernik noted.
When preparing the exposition this year Belarus has made an emphasis on the publications dedicated to the Year of Native Land declared in Belarus in 2018 and the anniversaries of Belarusian literature classics. All in all, the Belarusian exposition features more than 500 titles on various subjects.
The 12th edition of the Festival of National Cultures will take place in Grodno on 1-2 June. The festival will start with a traditional procession across the city center in the evening of 1 June. Taking part in the event will be representatives of 35 nationalities.
“This day is filled with special gratitude to those whose labor is the basis of life and prosperity of the native land, who are committed to and proud of their work. It highlights the importance of every profession,” the message of greetings reads.
Trade union activists, representatives of municipal government agencies, students of the local junior sport schools worked hard to renovate the town stadium. In particular, they were busy repairing the ice rink and beautifying the football field and the grandstands.
