At least two tornadoes hit Texas

In San Antonio, a city in the southern part of the U.S. state of Texas, a tornado hit a residential area on the north side of the city Sunday night or Monday morning, damaging at least 43 homes and causing minor injuries to five people.

Antarctic sea ice hits record low as temperatures soar

Figures from the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) on Wednesday show that sea ice in the frozen continent covered just 2.26 million square km on Tuesday, lower than the lowest level seen around this time in 1997.

An accompanying research paper by Liu Jun was released on Feb. 15, published in the international academic journal Nature Communications. Liu earned his PhD from the University of Hong Kong, and finished his postdoctoral research at the University of Sydney. He previously posed the question of whether the small Dinocephalosaurus inside the enterocoelia of its matrix got there through cannibalism or reproduction.
UAE's first nanosatellite, Nayif-1, is successfully launched into space

The nanosatellite was launched on-board a PSLV-C37 rocket, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. On-board its rocket, this launch held around 104 satellites, making it historically the highest number of satellites to be launched together. Nayif-1 was the 5th satellite separated from the launch vehicle after the main payload.
