China breaks records for world's largest snow painting, longest ice bar

The snow painting, on the surface of the frozen Hunjiang River, measures more than 2,220 square meters and was made using environmentally-friendly materials. The ice bar on the river bank measures more than 100 meters in length.

China launches 2 remote sensing satellites, 4 small satellites

The two commercial satellites, Jilin-1 Video 07 and 08, were independently developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co. Ltd., and will provide remote sensing data and products for government and industry users in conjunction with the eight previously launched Jilin-1 satellites.

British AI robot finds malaria killer in common toothpaste ingredient

Scientists at the university of Cambridge in Britain used the "Robot Scientist," Eve, in a high-throughput screen and discovered that triclosan, an ingredient found in many toothpastes, may help fight against strains of a malaria parasite that have grown resistant to one of the currently-used drugs to treat the disease.
