Cholera death toll rises to over 1,000 in Yemen: WHO

In a late Monday statement, WHO's Yemen office said over 166,976 suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the country since April 27.

London tower fire death toll rises to 79

Metropolitan Police Commander Stuart Cundy said a major investigation will be carried out into the fire which swept through the 24-floor tower block on Wednesday.

Scientists with Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeonotology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences said on Thursday that the dragonfly, which lived in the Late Triassic period, was discovered in Junggar Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 2013.

At least 8 dead, 65 injured in China kindergarten blast

The blast occurred around 4:48 p.m. at the gate of the kindergarten. Two people died at the scene, and another six died later in hospital, according to the county government.
