The vigor that Belarus citizens demonstrated as they were preparing for and organizing meetings in labor collectives, at their workstations, and in their places of residence once again proved that our congress is a really operating mechanism of government by the people,” said the head of state.
“The Belarusian People's Congress is our tradition, a tradition of the post-Soviet Belarus. We have been holding such meetings since 1996 as there is no other form of consulting directly with the people,” said Lidia Yermoshina.
Bearing in mind the general picture regarding the implementation of renovation projects in Belarus, the ministry expects that the number of revamped sites in Belarus will reach 30% over the next five years, Igor Chernyavsky noted.
“The Belarusian People's Congress is another opportunity for self-fulfillment, addressing political, practical and manufacturing processes. The speeches that are being prepared are much talked about today,” said Igor Buzovsky.
