2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang

The 23rd Winter Olympics Games will take place in Pyeongchang, South Korea on 9-25 February 2018. The competition program will include 15 sports: figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating, Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, snowboarding, bobsleigh, skeleton, biathlon, curling, ice hockey and luge.

The first of them to start will be Irina Krivko with the starting number 5. three-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva will start 15th, Nadezhda Skardino - 38th and Nadezhda Pisareva - 67th.

Belarusian athletes have already arrived in South Korea and held a number of training sessions at the Olympic venues. Thirty-two Belarusian Olympians will compete in six sports: biathlon, aerials, speed skating, short track, cross country skiing and Alpine skiing.

The medal hopes of the Belarusian fans are, first of all, related to biathlon and aerials. Belarus also has good prospects in speed skating. Apart from these sports, Belarus will also field its athletes in cross country skiing, short track and Alpine skiing.
