2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang

The 23rd Winter Olympics Games will take place in Pyeongchang, South Korea on 9-25 February 2018. The competition program will include 15 sports: figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating, Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, snowboarding, bobsleigh, skeleton, biathlon, curling, ice hockey and luge.

“The Olympic village is ready to welcome Olympians. Representatives of our delegation are completing the preparation of the accommodation for the athletes. Balconies have already been decorated with the national flags and symbols. We are getting ready to welcome our athletes,” Vasily Yurchik said.

At the previous winter games in Sochi around 2,500 athletes passed doping tests. Some of them were tested several times. “There can be no doubt that the fight against the use of prohibited drugs will be given even more attention in Pyeongchang.
